Associate - Fund Management Support

Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Client Services, this executive will support our portfolio managers in portfolio management, trade execution, and reconciliation with partner banks/brokers/accountants.  His/her responsibilities include:

  • Helping to process onboarding, subscription and redemption requests which includes liaising with the investors for due diligence checks and documentation
  • Working with business support providers to process transactions and deliver investors’ requirements in an efficient and responsible manner
  • Making follow-up investor calls and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Helping to maintain our investor record as well as a record of trades and settlement, funding and reconciliation
  • Assisting the company in meeting tax reporting and audit requirements, as well as in fund administration and NAV reconciliation
  • Assisting with preparation of marketing collaterals as part of the investor relations activities
  • Supporting administrative and enhancement projects as assigned from time to time

 

Skills, Knowledge and Competencies

The candidate should ideally possess:

  • A highly developed and keen sense of teamwork
  • Ability to understand issues and appropriately escalate to Management in a timely fashion
  • Dynamic, detail-oriented person and able to work under pressure

Engagement Type: Fee-Sharing Arrangement

Role Summary and Key Responsibilities

The CCO is responsible for expanding the firm’s client base and advisory network, driving AUM growth, and supporting the firm’s strategic development in Hong Kong and the region. The role suits an entrepreneurial professional with strong origination capabilities and a proven network in private banking or wealth management. His/her responsibilities include:

  • Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Source, onboard, and service high-net-worth and institutional clients under the firm’s Type 4&9, and CMS licences maintain long-term client relationships through consistent engagement and portfolio reviews.
  • Advisor Recruitment & Integration: Identify and recruit qualified advisors/relationship managers to join the firm’s independent asset-management platform; support onboarding, training, and compliance alignment.
  • Business Growth & Strategic Initiatives: Execute business-development plans to grow AUM and revenue; build partnerships with banks, EAMs, family offices, and professional intermediaries; represent the firm at industry events to strengthen brand visibility.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with investment, operations, and compliance teams to ensure efficient onboarding and high-quality client service; share market insights and business feedback with management.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all SFC and internal compliance requirements, including KYC/AML, product suitability, and record-keeping standards.

 

Qualifications and Experience

The candidate should ideally possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
  • 8–10 years’ experience in private banking, EAM, or wealth management with proven business-origination results.
  • Strong understanding of investment products, portfolio construction, and SFC regulatory framework.
  • Established client and advisor network in Hong Kong and the region.
  • Fluent in English and Cantonese; Mandarin an advantage.

 

Remuneration

This position operates under a fee-sharing remuneration model, with earnings tied to origination performance, AUM growth, and successful recruitment of qualified advisors.
